Jake Simmons, simply put, can play guitar like a maniac… and occasionally looks like one. Singer/Songwriter and lead guitar-man of South Haven outfit, The Implodes, Jake is a human rock machine. Whether it be with his fierce foursome or just him and an acoustic guitar, Jake is pure energy bottle into a relatively small frame. Notorious for his rambunctious (and often times chaotic) stage show with his band, early in 2007 Jake started filling his off nights with acoustic gigs and the results wound up causing a ridiculously high demand for Simmons to start taking double-duty.

He’s presently working on an as-yet-untitled debut split with fellow SW Michigander Matt Blasco, due out late-summer.
